It would be the 18th "anniversary" of the communist massacre later today. Review the bloody incident, and be grateful of how some parts of the world does allow free speech. and no, i'm pretty sure not everyone in the world can see this post.

Do you post at every massacre's anniversary? It seems a little dark to me but what the hell... You know china's no more real communist than the USA are freedom fighters. China has an authoritarian government that arised from the ad hoc communism that Mao had tried, quite clumsily, to implement. But even they're economy is, as it was already in the Tianamen incident, based on free market capitalism. So, I get really pissed off when I see those images, just like you do, and I praise to my freedom of speech (knowing that on its own it's really not enough) but I get angry on the oppression of the state. There's nothing of communist in this massacre, and also, there are so many more oppressive capitalist states that I really don't think that's the point.

And about free speech... I agree with you, it's awesome. I need it to breathe now. But you know what, we gotta fight for it, 'cause it can all disappear with a blink of an eye. All it takes is the means of repression on the hand of someone(s) to whom repression is useful.

Fight for it everyday, and beware that even this small unimportant post is a gift, and one that can easily be poisoned if we let it. I say we must beware because it's only a matter of time before someone tries it

No hard feeling, liked your blog
